The how to guide!
Step 1 : What to buy

Don’t Forget to get Eggs, Pam, and Canola Oil… pretty much everything Mr Duncan Hines Suggests!
Also get the frosting (Yellos, Green and Red) made by CakeMate… I don’t work for CakeMate so this is not a shameless plug… If you are reading this and do work for CakeMate call me! lol
Step 2:

Crack em!
Step 3:

Whip it!
Step 4:

Admire how big the large size of PAM looks in your hand! (Camera fans please notice the DOF… Olympus E-30 with 12-60… now that is a shameless plug!)
Step 5:

Spray TONS of pam into cupcake tray, they will just pop out when baked
Step 6:

Fill about 2/3 of each cupcake
Step 7:

Question why you are dating someone who is a really messy baker…
Step 8:

Place in Oven and admire the Olympus E-30 Pin Hole Art Filter…
Step 9:

Pop them out when cooled… They might not look like much now but wait…
Step 10:

You must use VERY sharp knife to cut tops off
Step 11:

Start it all over again with the Chocolate ones… [Note: The bottle of Rum might have a lot to do with the mess pouring on behalf of the BF]
Step 12:

Take over from Boyfriend… Clearly his head is not in the game…
Step 13:

POP EM!
Step 14:

CUT EM!
Step 15:

This is where the buns meet the patties… very tense…
Step 16:

Apply the “Fake” Cheese aka Cake Mate Yellow… Phone is not ringing CakeMate!
Step 17:

Houston we have TOUCHDOWN! You might want to put a little in the middle just to hold them together.
Step 18:

Add the Faux Ketchup.
Step 19:

Relish is optional.
Step 20:

toppings are on! these frosting tubes are available at most supermarkets, so easy to use. One tube of each makes about 24 burgers.
Step 21:

Lock it down.
Step 22:

Put a little orange juice on top of cupcake so ensure sesame seeds stick.
Step 23:

Sprinkle the sesame seeds… Trust me they add so much and don’t kill the taste… this is the key to it all!
Step 24:

Admire all that you have created! And wake you boyfriend up off the couch!

Amazing. Can I suggest a little fondant for the cheese slice? Or grated coconut for onions?
Merci beaucoup for sharing this idea, and your step-by-step is very entertaining! I crack up every time I see the fruit of your b.f.’s batter-scooping labor. So guy! I made these for my boyfriend. He thought they were cute. He likes cheeseburgers and he like my baking, so it’s the best of both worlds.
Coconut died green for lettuce…
amazing! they’re so cute!
I baked these cupcakes today and they turned out great! The only thing I didn’t think was a good idea was using the moist cake mix- because they are DEFINITELY moist and it was a little difficult handeling them. Other then that- love love love
. Thanks for sharing this with me <3
Thanks for sharing! Going to make these this weekend. Too cute.
